Power-factor Correction Capacitors
Power-factor Correction Capacitors reduce the power consumption of MV
Bulbs and Chokes, so are recommended if using a MV Trap from a limited
power source such as a generator.

power inverter (see Power Sources). External size 450mmx450mmx300mm deep.
Supplied with 15Watt blue blacklight, these give out very little visible
light, so are ideal for use beside roads, where light may disturb neighbours
or where discrete trapping is required.
Light Sensors and Power-factor Correction Capacitors can be added to
the above kits. Simply add the relevant code number and price to your
order
8W
actinic trap and 12V power source

8Watt 12Volt Actinic Trap. A lightweight portable trap measuring
300mm x 300mm x 225mm. This new trap operates direct from a 12Volt power
source such as car battery, or 12V 7Amphour battery so is extremely
useful
for trapping away from mains power.

Power Inverters
Power Inverters allow small electrical items to be operated from a 12VDC
Source such as a car battery. 150Watt units and 300Watt units are available.
To calculate the unit you require it is necessary to multiply the wattage
of your trap by 2.5. This takes account of the Inductive loading of the
light and Choke combination. Therefore a 125Watt trap will need to be
powered via a 300Watt unit (125X2.5=312). A 150Watt unit can easilypower
a 15Watt actinic. To avoid draining the car battery it is advisable to
keep the car engine running when supplying heavy loads. To work out how
long a fully charged battery will last use the following formula: Battery
size (Ah)/10 x W/12. For example if you have an 80Ah battery then a 15Watt
actinic trap can be run for 10 hours.
Rechargeable
Head Lamp
This
rechargeable model will produce a 100m beam for approx. 4hrs. The unit
includes a battery belt pouch and mains charger.
Rechargeable 1 million candle power lamp
Utilising
a Xenon bulb and quickly rechargeable battery to produce a 1,000,000 candle
power beam for up to 1.5 hrs, this is one of the most advanced high-power
lamps available A secondary bulb helps save battery power when high illumination
is not required.. The unit comes complete with mains recharger, shoulder
carrying strap and vehicle recharging lead.
Rechargeable 500,000 candle power lamp

Red Mason Bee Nest Boxes
The Red Mason Bee is a leaf-cutter bee. Leaf-cutter bees do not make,
store or defend honey so it is quite safe to encourage them into your
garden. Red Mason Bees are very effective pollinators and therefore very
useful in the garden. Sited correctly, in a sheltered south-facing position,
the chambers will attract nest-seeking females in the spring.
