| As part of our services to clients we are also able provide
land management opportunities.
Such management work includes scrub-clearance, tree-planting, light woodland
management, grassland management and pond-clearance.
Work recently undertaken has included:
- scrub clearance at Whixhall Moss for English Nature and CCW
- bracken control and heathland management on the Cliffe in Shropshire
- scrub clearance at Bagmere in Cheshire to benefit the Small Pearl-bordered
Fritillary
- scrub clearance and pond creation on Abbott’s and Shemmy Mosses
Cheshire Wildlife Trust reserves to provide habitat for White-faced
Darter.
- Management of calcareous grasslands on disused lime-beds around Northwich
in Cheshire to benefit the Dingy Skipper.
 Our
team of contractors are qualified to use chainsaws (up to 1 1⁄2
guidebar length) and also to apply herbicides (to PA6 level) if required
to prevent the regrowth of cut stumps.
