Welcome to the biota website. Our team of ecologists and land managers are dedicated to the conservation of the natural habitat and are all keen naturalists.

We undertake a variety of work in the natural history, conservation and ecological fields. Our work includes:

• site surveys
• protected species surveys and mitigation proposals and implementation
• preparation of Ecological Impact Assessments
• production of site management plans and site management
• provision of training in survey techniques and identification
• design and production of site interpretation material
• co-ordination of community initiatives and events
• design of visitor facilities such as birdwatching hides and screens, pond-dipping platforms etc.

Our main office is based in Cheshire, with associates in Dorset and Shropshire. Our subsiduary, Bioquip, offers a range of ecological survey and mtigation equipment including nest and bat boxes.
